Access to PSP WEB CONTENT. WipeOut Pure Download Page

Post by Awhite »

YOu normally won't have access to this page:

http://ingame.scea.com/wipeout/index.html (give it a try)

Easy way:

If you got Firefox, use this plugin :

https://addons.update.mozilla.org/exten ... .php?id=59

Install it, add it to toolbar, go to options add a useagent called PSP with this string: SCEJ PSP BROWSER 0102pspNavigator

Clink on the Use Agent toolbar icon, and choose from the drop-down list PSP. :P

--------------
Hard Way:

This is how you alter the user agent of the IE, so that you gain access there.

OK, here's how to alter the User Agent of the Internet Explorer.
(You might want to keep a backup of the key first)
Open the Registry Editor (Start > Run > regedit).
Go to "KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent". If you need to create the "5.0" and/or "User Agent" keys, then do so.
The usual User Agent string is something like "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)" change that, to: "SCEJ PSP BROWSER 0102pspNavigator".

And you are good to go! Now you can access the web content that was for psp eyes only :P :

P.S Thanks to roto for helping out with the string :P

For the description you can put anything, I put "PSP". For User Agent you have to put the entire "SCEJ PSP BROWSER 0102pspNavigator" in for it to work.

Is this something the PSP was sending out or Wipeout Pure?

the user agent is posted by the Wipeout Pure Browser. The page is what Wipeout checks out for updates.
