Higher freq audio for PSP video?

Post by kelvar »

I tried changing the audio freq for encoding video from 24000 to 44100. My PSP refuse to play the video. I tried 32000 as well and it didn't work. Is it possible to hack the video file changing some hex values like how it's done for custom res video???

I also tryed to change the 3GP config for ffmpeg command line options and found 22050hz didn't work too.

But when I restored the audio freq to 24000hz, It was no problem on PSP again - not noly higher freq, even some low freq was refused by the PSP.

psp 3gp

i've been trying to play movies on my psp for weeks and i can't not seem to get it right. i used the 3gp and follow the how to do list, but when it does work i get an THM file and a mp4 file. when i put one in at a time my psp doesn't see it and when i put both my psp doesn't see it. i think it has to do with this part of the guide that i do not understand. The correct folder name for videos is E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 (where E: is the drive letter of your PSP). Copy your .MP4 video(s) over (the .THM files that 3GP Converter creates are not necessary for playback), i see you guys all are watching movies and even changing the resolution can you guys please help me thank you

As I know, the most inner folder of MP4 file path should be 101MNV01, not 100MNV01. And also, MP4 file name should be M4V?????.MP4, where '?????' is a 5-digit number which can range from 00001 to 99999.

Seems the folder name '101MNV01' implies some video file formation. Perhaps some video files other than divx MP4 can be played too.

Mine is:

E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\M4V16294.MP4

It plays fine.
