You can't, you'll need a dev-kit before you can develop a 3D dynamic theme...

You need to be registered with Sony. It's not free or freely available.

I have question that
To develop 2D Dynamic theme for PS3 we use p3t complier, so using p3t complier should we develop 3D themes?
I found that dev-kit is too costly... is there any other way?
Thanks

There really isn't another way to develop 3d themes..

Thanks for follow up.
As we are going to start development for PS3 themes & games ,I have few more questions before purchasing the PS3 Dev-kit.
  • Did sony provide any documents on developing PS3 3D dynamic themes and games?
Should we develop the games for PSP, PS2, PS3 etc using PS3 Dev-kit?
Did sony provides some demos for developing themes and games ?
Please advice as we don't have any experienced person from PS3 development.
Thanks

If you follow the link that was provided up here to the sony development site, there it all is explained..

One thing I can already say: You'll need a solid businessplan (and so a very big document on what your game is going to be in quite detail) before Sony will provide you with a devkit, unless you are an already established softwarehouse with published titles..

So as a hobbyist or someone who want to make games/themes but don't know yet what, you'll strike out...

oh, and you won't find anyone here that can actually explain what really is supplied with the devkit unless they want to break their DNA they have signed (but frankly I don't think you would really find anyone that has the devkit to look through these forums)..

The only other way is create a prototype in Linux on the PS3 (you do have almost all SPU's available) using 'OpenGL' and show that....

sorry, but your typo made me laugh loudly in my office :D

nobody will break his own DNA if you break the NDA ;),

you can make a prototype in any way you want, as long as it attracts some publisher that will support you in getting a contract with sony.
