Danzeff OSK for Luaplayer (not cancan's) and Python-PSP

Post by LilCthulhu »

Hi,

It seems Cancan and I had the same idea. Provide the excellent Danzeff OSK to all Luaplayer coders. He got me to the finish line and released his adaptation earlier while I was unaware somebody else was working on this ;) But then again, why relase mine then ? Well, I also provide an adaptation for Python-PSP !

Since then I have looked at his code and I'm quite happy we took different approach... His code looks more like a proper Lua adaptation while mine is a more straight conversion of the C source code to Lua and Python. Clearly, two adaptations and no code stealing here...

This is my first time working with both languages. I daily work in Smalltalk and had a hard time with my conscience... using global variables, functions and not using OO, MVC and patterns here and there. But then again, I'm glad my adaptations are as close as possible to the original C source. It also means I might be able to follow Danzel and Jeff's changes...

Like Danzeff, ptDanzeff is released through a BSD-like license...

You can find ptDanzeff at http://www.palmtime.com or more precisely at http://www.palmtime.com/palmtime/mediaw ... /ptDanzeff

Enjoy and kudos to the PSP homebrew scene
