I haven't been keeping up with firmware revisions that are exploited or not,
but I think 3.40 is.

If you are new to PSP dev then search around for the Pandora battery.
You can now choose your own firmware on any current model PSP
thanks to the genius of some members here.

Not speaking from experience, but it has to be.

It is indeed IMHO, but you'll need to know a bit about Linux to be able to compile things and etc...

If you're not very used to Linux, try to use Ubuntu. It's very user friendly, and you can do whatever you do on other *nix versions, but in graphical way.

Cheers

I am using a 3.40OE PSP with pspsdk trunk, and it works perfectly.
As suggested in the previous comments, you might change your firmware according to your need.
