PSPLink with chickHEN - any risk?

Post by willow :--) »

I used PSPLink on my PSP3000 with ChickHEN succesfully, but I was wondering if there are things/commands that shouldn't be used ? (stuff that would mess with flash, or , more likely, stuff that would mess with the HEN itself ?)

psplink is pretty much a debugging program designed for hombrew devs. psplink itself doesnt modify any files but you are able to brows the Flash0:/ , 1:/ , etc... As long as you dont modify the Flash files, you should be fine.

if im wrong, let me know.

It shouldnt mess with the flashes, but only debug psp app, games, etc.

I didn't do anything special. Obviously I'm using the OE version (firmware 3.xx) not the old version (firmware 1.xx)

Yes, you will brick, instantly.

No, you will not, as it doesn't directly modify flash0.
Programming with:
Geany + Latest PSPSDK from svn
