I'm about to try to learn opengl using the red book i'm a total newb when it comes to this i've been using oslib and did sdl once so this is new

what i want to know is the sceGu similar to opengl so as to say if i know gl/glut i can learn the gu easily/ how similar are they

Codes of the two world are not directly portable, but they work in a very similar manner, so i would definitely raccomend you to learn openGl: it is an enstabilished standard and it will help you understand how the most graphical hardware works, including PSP's GE.
