DVD transfer to UMD/PSP

Post by robotrhys »

Hi, I was wondering if it would be possible to A) insert an external USB DVD drive and play dvds on the PSP via it's USB port and B) copy DVDs/put video clips onto blank UMD disks and play them on the PSP. And also, will blank Sony UMD disks be created to buy in the near future?
Thanks a lot guys

Very likely, "No" for all of your questions. It is possible someone will do some of this, but unlikely that Sony will. You can however copy movies onto the Memory Stick to watch.

Yeah that would be kind of dumb ...playing dvd's on your psp...However a patent shows a psp connection to the ps3... wireless, so maybe you can stream a dvd movie on to your psp, because the patent also shows the psp screen used as a monitor for the ps3. Anyone who wants to check this out ...do a google search.
