You connect the PS2 directly to internet or you can try the firmware that you can get from the google for connecting it to the DVD Player.

What are you actually trying to say? What do you plan on doing?

All I can think off is you're trying to play you PS2's sound through the speakers that your DVD player is hooked up to and to do that you need an optical cable from the PS2's optical out and connect it to the dvds player optical input (if its got one).
