Special .irx's for PS3?

I was analyzing the contents of Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix for Playstation 2 today, and I noticed a module named SPU-IOP.irx. Is this for Playstation 3's that have no Emotion Engine built-in?

The sound chip of the PS1/PS2 is called SPU ;) (this sucks when you're googling after spu (cell) source codes ;P)
