Time Delay Between Posts

Post by enos_feedler »

It seems there is a minimum delay between consecutive posts. While I can see the reasons for this, is there any way to turn it off when you are only editing your previous post? I made mistakes in my post and and the forum system is telling me I have to wait before I can repost my edited message.

Cheers,
Jeff

Unfortunately, there is no setting for editing separate from posting and the delay has to be as long as it is now in order to stop large amounts of spam being posted before we can delete it.

Sorry.

Can you then please tell us what the exact delay is, so we don't have to make dozens of attempts before being allowed to correct our mistakes. Note that each such attempt requires making all corrections completely, only to have them refused again, and again, and again, ad nauseam...

If we know the precise limit, then we can at least avoid such wasted efforts.

It is currently set to two minutes. With all the spam lately we may be forced to look into a better solution, however.
