they do everything to remove development from psp...

Sony knows exactly what they want and what they are doing when they do odd one-off things like: Linux Kit for PS2 or the PSX PVR sold only in Japan.
They learn alot from doing those things, even if they do not intend to make money off of them. They may or may not do similar things in the future, but its damned good that some companies take those risks.
