I wonder if someday I'll ever understand the facination people have with combining memorycards and usb devices. How many savegames do these people have?? It's not for savegames, I just want to make my programs persistent on my memorycard. While developing it is not necessary, because with Naplink i...

Re: Play Station 2 eXploit Made Easy (PS2XME) v0.9.0 beta
I have completted assembling a package (of packages) which I decided to call PS2XME. Thanks, it works. I've tested it with the European version, but I changed a code for the EU version of the game "Monopoly" (the only PS1 game I have): SLES_009.45 And I've added the "Plasma Tunnel&qu...

As it stands, there are already many ways to boot the PS2 to do dev work and run/develop little programs, already mentioned, and they don't contribute nearly as much to the warez issue. Unless a self-booting memcard is an academic exercise you are willing to forever keep to yourself, you can always...

No, you cannot substitute your own code or something similar for this specific binary - it is magicgate encrypted. Of course, you can, because you could disassemble the ROM part, which does the update from the update CD and you can analyze the update CD itself, but it may be difficult. There is a m...

Yabasic crash
When entering aaaaaaaaaaaa....=0 in Yabasic, but with 40,000 a's (you can use copy/paste to create such a long string very fast), then on start the interpreter crashs (not with 20,000, I haven't checked the exact limit). I discovered this bug while trying to find another bug: In the source code of Y...

START-UP Card for retail, again
I've seen a description about a DVD player at http://www.ps2home.co.uk/dvd.htm and it looks like a program can be started from the memory card (it is delivered with a DVD remote controller; I think I'll buy one tommorow...), at least when a movie DVD is inserted. My Linux Kit arrives next week, so u...
