Heimdall:

I'm hesitant to apply the patch to psplinkusb quite yet, its not my project and I'd like to make sure everything works fine before changing it.

I also left the old patch there just in case someone needed it, again until I'm sure everything works fine.

If you want an easy way to do it, use SDL_image to load the file, then use the rotozoomer in SDL_gfx to rotate it. Both libraries are available in the psplibraries package.

It'll probably be fast enough for a single image, otherwise you'll want to get the graphics hardware to do it for you.

You should install the libusb development files (this package is called libusb-dev in Ubuntu), then re-run step 9 by typing: ./toolchain.sh 9 The good news is that by the time you get to step 9 you already have a working toolchain. There's no need to waste another three hours. In fact, if you don't ...

When you use sudo, it clears out your path and other environment variables. This is usually why a 'sudo make install' will fail. You can either make the destination directory user-writable, or re-set the environment variables after calling sudo. (This is all toolchain-sudo.sh does, btw... a wrapper ...

You don't have your environment variables set up properly.

You should have $PSPDEV set and added to your path.

Typically all you need is to add an alias for psp into the config.sub file: psp) basic_machine=mipsallegrexel-psp os=-elf ;; When you specify 'psp' as the target, you're actually building for a machine called 'mipsallegrexel-psp-elf' in a standard way. (cpu + hardware + os/executable type). ...
