It's a pity that magnetic reed switches are normally open, or you could have a normal sealed battery that has Pandora mode activated by placing a magnet near the battery cover. Good idea, I had a quick look into reed contacts and it seems there are also normally closed reed contacts (instead of the...

I thought they were just wired straight through, so all of that would be determined by the characteristics of the SD card? In the first post we're talking 8Gb. I'm pretty sure that Micro-SD uses a different protocol than Memory Stick Pro Duo. So it requires translation by a chip (and may in turn co...

Just 3 things to consider with adapters in general: Transfer rates, supported storage sizes and the amount of battery power consumed by the adapter itself.

Here is my idea of a resource hungry user input: A small mirror attached to the Go Cam so that the camera can look towards the screen and monitor movements of a stick (or a printed pattern attached to the forefinger using a ring). So it would probably require some heavy image processing making it u...

Since there's no remote fo rthe PSP slim, it looks like they've removed the serial port as well :( No, don't worry. There are new pins on the PSP Slim connector (for tv-out), making the old remote control incompatible. So for the PSP Slim there is a new re-designed remote with the modified connecto...

You could use a virtual machine like VMWare (install Linux and the SDK). Then just carry the OS image with you and run it with VMWare Player where ether you are.

Such a downloadable OS image would also be great solution for everyone that has trouble getting the SDK installed.

Bad news, same result on 1.5 as in the previous version (copied prx and at3 to MS root, the 2 game directories to PSP/GAME).

Black screen, no reaction to any button, have to hold power button to shut it off.

Tryed this on 1.5 (copied the eboot folders into GAME and the at3 in the MS root). All I get is a black screen, no sound - no reaction to any button. Doesn't shut down automatically so I have to hold the power button for a while.

Re: PSP USB Facts.

The reason why it uses USB-To-Go is because it allows for certain digital camera's to connect to it via the USB connection (It has been confirmed). If you look at your pictures folder you will notice that there is a Digital Camera Images folder already setup inside the system. Which can create one ...

I have used PPJoy in the past to use a Playstation 1 controller connected to the parallel port as a Gamepad in Windows XP. The good thing is that PPJoy also supports custom interfaces (Virtual Joystick is the keyword to look for on the PPJoy website). So somebody could just write a PSP specific inte...
