I can't get it to work with my NAS (Synology 101j) and the default UPnP server.... Is there anybody tried with twonkymedia server ? Music and Pictures work fine with Twonky. Videos are ok too, except for the limited number of codecs supported. I have heard that Nero Home(?) will transcode in realti...

My PS3 now uses gdm to auto-login and fire up MythTV which, after some fiddling with mplayer settings, works quite nicely. Displaying 1080i video seems to take around 50% cpu. adavidm Adavidm, how did you configure your mplayer for Mythtv? I just installed it using the defaults (only the frontend) ...

I used the guide at: http://overlays.gentoo.org/proj/cell/wiki/InstallGentooOnPS3 to install Gentoo. No major problems, and no need to chroot after the installation either. My PS3 now uses gdm to auto-login and fire up MythTV which, after some fiddling with mplayer settings, works quite nicely. Disp...

MesaGL

Did anyone see this:

At the bottom of the first page is an indication that YDL might be releasing an implementation of MesaGL for the SPU's soon. I guess that would make the ps3 even more interesting for homebrew developers.

I don't think there is a way to come back from standby through code (and definitely not from full powered down state), I think it works the same way hibernation does on a PC, so all memory is saved but there is no code being executed so no way to run code to resume. I thought the PSP wakes itself f...
