Hmm, no, I don't know which revision of PSPGL dot_blank was using when it did work for him. The revision before 1543 definitely doesn't work.mrbrown wrote:In any case, I think the version of pspgl_ge_init.c before revision 1543 definitely worked on 2.0. Maybe we should just go back to that version...

Can you try the samples in PSPGL's test/ directory with the latest PSPGL in SVN? rRootage also seems to be busted (it just hangs), and as far as we can tell, it happened after the code in pspgl_ge_init.c was updated. I've tried to make it as close to sceGuInit()'s GE init as possible, but now there ...

Ok, Zenurb, you've made your point. The noise level is a bit too high in this thread, so please stay on topic. Back on topic... From what I understand, the only thing that prevents this exploit from fully working on 2.60 is that the list of syscalls hasn't been mapped for 2.60 yet. Developers should...

In case folks are wondering, the following is a list of features that my release has that the deniska release doesn't have: Graphics are full 32-bit RGBA (deniska's release uses 16-bit color). Compare the screenshots. Pause using Start. Toggle music using Select. The entire screen is supported for g...

Does mrbrown actually get royalties from the sale of the book? No, I don't. But I'm pretty sure that Joe Grand (the main author) does. Anyway, Drakonite mirrored my original pages at http://makeshift.halifrag.com/www.0xd6.org/ . The EE SIO page is at http://makeshift.halifrag.com/www.0xd6.org/ps2-e...

If you only intend to do homebrew on your PSP, then there is absolutely no reason for you to ever upgrade it. The language setting is in the System Settings menu. After powering on the PSP, scroll all the way to the left, scroll down twice, and hit Circle (the menu looks like a PSP with a wrench). S...

I've figured out a workaround to the hang: calling sceGuInit() at the top of my test program gets rid of the issues. The only thing sceGuInit() does is send a GE list and setup the GE callbacks (which do nothing if you don't use them). So it seems either that full init sequence must be sent to the G...

I'm being bit by similar hangs and crashes using PSPGL (the latest in SVN) on a 1.0 PSP. I just checked in support for PSPGL in SDL. If I try the spinning triangle test using PSPGL's glut.c (unmodified), the PSP crashes after the program launches. If I convert the glut.c test to go through SDL's Ope...

J.F., rinco: Help Wanted would have to be specifically for PS2 and PSP projects, IMO. There are many other boards with established Help Wanted sections, such as gamasutra.com and gamedev.net . Adding a generic Help Wanted just adds a ton of work moderating off-topic posts. Morkai: I added the requir...
