So I read that ps3vram is faster, but my question is whether anything - the os, emulators, etc currently uses ps3vram? I.e. does ps3vram speeding up affect performance in any noticeable way for someone that uses YDL for emulators, web browsing, etc? Does memory swapping play much of a role in these...

Do you know if such a server could create a device file (just like udev would do), in order the sixaxis controller to be visible in the system the exact same way as it would in USB mode ? Now ps3boot includes only kboot parser, without yaboot parser. I guess YDL uses yaboot config file.
