Actually 120mhz was enough for performance for I`ve tested a 480x272 30fps clip with very complex scene at quantizer=10 and peak bitrate reaches to 17000kbps without stuttering. but there is another problem with audio:It seem that it usually accompanied by some random noise, similar to a very very sh...

ok, welcome to the stuttering club :) it's a normal behavior of the app. happen when the psp is not able to decode audio/video in realtime. (the current resolution limit, to have smooth playback, is something slightly more than 480x272, so you must reencode the clip using a lower resolution) i'll g...

making the OSD transparent may noticably downgrade performance....but I think the bookmark feature really could be a useful one without affecting performance.

your analysis is useful and bring a good point (!!!). 1.interpolate the Chroma info in software modes. i'll do this in the future, but with the gu (this is implicitly covered by an optimization i've planned - move the csc to the gu) not in the next version, but probably in the next-next :) Wow,can`...

after "googled" the color step problem I think I`ve got the idea~~ xvid using YV12 formats, which means Chroma were store in half resolution than luma. To display on a Progressive RGB device(CRT,LCD etc...) needs YV12-->RGB convertion. on PC,the convertion were done by videocards when using...

in part, the cause could be the psp lcd you have also to take into account that on psp there is no postprocessing (i'm sure on pc you have deblocking/deringing activated) emm,it seems to be related to the postprocessing. UMD video suffers no kinds of this blocky because its original resolution was ...

@jonny I`ve had an interesting finding,as we all known audio stutters when playing heavy scene especially at high bitrates or high framerates. but if you pause playing as soon as it began to stutter, and then resume, you will find it stutters no more~~ and stutter only recurs in several seconds if hea...
