Well the problem is that 1.50 fw can only natively play MP4 SP files and the mpeg4 SP codec sucks, the highest quality file encoded with the SP format at 480x272 takes a LOT of space (about 200MB for 30 minutes of playback) while avc videos would be even lighter than pmp files (xvid/divx muxed with ...

It's a great reverse engeneering job you've done here moonlight, Although it would be more interesting to reverse engeneer the way the psp play AVC files (while playing a pmf or a mps (UMD Video) ) as the psp uses AVC hardware decoding so it can play smoothly any avc file at 222mhz and probably in u...

Are there plans for releasing a version that patches the firmware so this doesn't have to be loaded every time? Great job though. This is a great idea. Saves some memory stick memory too. You can't do this unless you manage to bypass the IPL prx checksum (as unfortunately, loadexec.prx is one of th...

Moonlight, i've got a question regarding your hack. I have a PSP fw 1.0 and for now am very happy with it because it launches homebrews very fast (fw 1.0 in 3,5 seconds, fw 1.50 in almost 9 seconds!). Also I like using 1.0 PBPs (easier to manage) and no corrupted icon (i know these can be hidden on...

sceNand is used by the lfat driver and I would assume the lfat driver is used to handle the "flash0", "flash1" devices, no? Something interesting to look into: patch sceNand to redirect read/writes from internal nand to ms :) indeed that's a good idea, it might be also interesti...

I don't know about GAME mode, but I successfuly used the scenand API in VSH mode on 1.50 however it doesn't work on 2.00 probably because the scenand syscalls are not implented within eloader and that you can't use nids directly in 2.00 Also I am quite sure that the scenand API works in UPDATER mode...

I comfirm the updater ONLY "touches" the IPL, the flash0 and the flash1 areas.

Beside the "end" of the NAND (exclueding ECC) should be flash1 so no wonder it changes....

Never before have I seen a company with such insane file formats. Neither did I xD I suspect sony to use AES128+RSA(1024?/2048?) (AES is symetric and only using AES would be a major security flaw, however RSA decryption process is slow (unlike AES) so they would just encrypt the AES key using RSA (...

Well you can find several of the vsh functions meant to mount an UMD device hidden within the vsh_bridge.prx (at least in the retail 2.00 version where most debug functions weren't removed from retail fws I don't know why tough) by performing a brute force using a dictionnary. That's mostly what I b...

You need the 3rd part called iplplayload The best would be to set psardumper to extract the files without the use of the ipl decryption routine to get the encrypted ipl as psp_ipl.bin Then use another app using the ipl decryption routine (you can get it either from psardumper or from Nem's infos) an...

I don't run iso loaders anyway as I buy all my games but I am still kinda pissed that I can't run the newer games on 1.50 because of that there are lots of games that I don't buy. Beside I don't like that people hex edit nem's run umd to run iso on their 1.50 because they don't want to buy the UMD.....
