Here is how to download videos onto the PSP via the Browser!

I wasnt sure anyone had figured this out yet so I thought I would post. I was just trying to figure out exactly what was required to make the PSP save video files in the correct location and with the correct filename, when downloading via the browser. I knew the official PSP site did that but I coul...

I can confirm that indeed the PSP DOES stop charging the battery when wireless is in use. This happens in the browser or in games, anywhere that wireless is activated. However contrary to previous comments about this, the PSP DOES continue to run off the PSU NOT battery power during this. I presume ...

Perhaps you just got a faulty screen? I can't imagine PSP being on the screen long enough to burn-in.

I do think Sony messed up on homebrew with the PSP. You would think that if they allowed homebrew but just restricted it a little (ie no UMD access allowed, no internal flash access allowed) to a special homebrew API then they would have a better chances of stopping piracy. Lets face it, if homebrew...

That is freaky considering I thought UMD movies were using the AVC codec before version 2.0 firmware anyway?

Perhaps in pre 2.0 firmware the codec was contained on the UMD and now it relies on the firmware to support it instead?

Interesting.

Any indications that 2.0 DOES support a keyboard already, or does it look like its just the groundwork ready for a future update supporting one?

Firmware Question

Does anyone know what happens if you, for example, boot a European game on a Japanese PSP and it asks to update the firmware? Is it safe to do so? I have a Japanese PSP and bought European Burnout Legends which I suspect will want to update to Firmware 2.0. As the default firmware online now is 2.01...

There doesnt seem to be much going on under that black tape but hopefully this will be some help without having to risk trashing your own screen to see it (mines already cracked). http://csdprojects.co.uk/PSPscreen.jpg The cable on the left is not important, it just provides power to the LEDs on the...
