Power consumption increases by 12W to 184W ...
Well, it's for a good purpose :)
It's just weird the PS3 consumes more than 170W even in idle mode. Bad power management?

Yes, a format will remove everything - games, music, saves etc. Is it possible to restore the games from backup after reformatting? I was so stupid to buy and download games before repartitioning :( You can plug in USB drives, but I found that hot plugging didn't work - I needed to boot with the de...

Impossible using normal TV?
I'm about to install YDL 5.0.
It's not clear to me if it is just not recommended or impossible to use a normal TV. Somewhere I think I saw someone starting Linux with ydl480i or so.
Can someone clear me up?

It seems that the OE_Rev4-test has some problems. It’s usually that the LiveStream break up suddenly. I infer that the VLC PMP maybe need to increase the buffer size in order to avoid any confusions. Hm, didn't notice that. Try the 1.0/1.50 version (WEP) and compare behaviour. Also, you may have to...

These functions are provided by the PSP kernel, like the windows API... I know that, but in none of my source files I can't find references. I can't explain these imports. How can I find out what needs them? EDIT: I found the culprit. I used a wrong version of avc sourcefile.Entirely my fault of co...

How to find (offending) kernel mode function references?
I have built a PRX which should be pure user mode and to be used on 3.x-oe firmwares. The problem is that 2 kernel mode modules are linked: Import 21, Name KDebugForKernel, Functions 1, Variables 0, flags 00010000 Functions: 0x84F370BC [0x00278FAC] - KDebugForKernel_84F370BC ...

can you give us more details about nocache->func ? Sure, here is the major part of the sourcecode (me.c, mestub.S and Makefile). It's originally from jonny's PMP Mod player. PMP Mod is a kernel mode app. My app (PMP VLC) is a normal mode app which calls exported functions from the ME kernel mode pr...

sorry to say but you can because there is no USEG but a KUSEG at 0x00000000-0x7fffffff, which means accessible in user or kernel mode. And meseems I already tried to read kuseg segment without problem. hmm, then I wonder why I can't pass user mode function pointers to my main ME loop: void me_funct...

My user mode prx program invokes functions in a kernel mode prx to run functions on the ME. The key function is me_start() which is listed in my posting above. As long as I pass a kernel space function address to me_start() the function executes just fine, however functions in user space don't work....

The stubs do not currently support variables and I dont think they ever will, it would require too much hackery or modification to ld to be really worth it. If you design needs global variables then imo you haven't designed it correctly ;) True :) I still have this question: can functions be export...
