Power consumption increases by 12W to 184W ...
Well, it's for a good purpose :)

It's just weird the PS3 consumes more than 170W even in idle mode. Bad power management?

Yes, a format will remove everything - games, music, saves etc. Is it possible to restore the games from backup after reformatting? I was so stupid to buy and download games before repartitioning :( You can plug in USB drives, but I found that hot plugging didn't work - I needed to boot with the de...

Two more questions. Do I loose the games I downloaded from the store when I (quick) format the drive in order to get 10GB for linux? Can I connect an external USB drive?

Thanks!

Impossible using normal TV?

I'm about to install YDL 5.0.

It's not clear to me if it is just not recommended or impossible to use a normal TV. Somewhere I think I saw someone starting Linux with ydl480i or so.

Can someone clear me up?

It seems that the OE_Rev4-test has some problems. It’s usually that the LiveStream break up suddenly. I infer that the VLC PMP maybe need to increase the buffer size in order to avoid any confusions. Hm, didn't notice that. Try the 1.0/1.50 version (WEP) and compare behaviour. Also, you may have to...

How to find (offending) kernel mode function references?

I have built a PRX which should be pure user mode and to be used on 3.x-oe firmwares. The problem is that 2 kernel mode modules are linked: Import 21, Name KDebugForKernel, Functions 1, Variables 0, flags 00010000 Functions: 0x84F370BC [0x00278FAC] - KDebugForKernel_84F370BC ...
