I thought that the English translation provided by Jeff Chen from pspupdates was a little clearer: The PS3 will come standard with a functional Linux Operating System as well as compilers and other tools. This will give a vast playground to all the programmers on the PS3. This means that the PS3 wil...

"I started to think that's more easy to make PSP applications than to install the PSPSDK. " I think I agree with you. Still, if the toolchain works (and you figure out you need to do sh toolchain.sh under cygwin), and you got the right cygwin stuff installed, the right environment variable...

Do I see correctly that you are forcing it to write out 200 bytes, even though your string is probably less? I think you need to use a WriteLn function. Otherwise you'll have to specify the actual length of the string up until the newline.

Well, I've got to the first step - succesfully installed pspgl and was able to create the elf files in the test folder, though I couldn't run these elf files under FileAssistant yet. No idea why - if anyone has a clue ... ? Next step is getting some basic 3D output on my PSP using a standard makefil...

After installing among others ImageMagic, zlib, and pngtools, I got the makefile to output .elf files. Now in the old days when I was working on p-sprint, I could just copy these to anywhere on my memorystick, and run them with FileAssistant+ However, I can't anymore. I get an auto-shutdown when I t...

What I'm guessing it means is that you can only run the games you create under Linux, you cannot create games that can run with the minimum Game OS active. But that is just a very, very wild guess though.

I can't get to my PSP until Friday, but if you can post them before then, I will clean them up and try to get them up and running Friday morning and post them here. Once I ...

Proposal: Recreate Nehe's Examples for PSPGL / PSPDEV SDK

Hi to All GL'ers, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to create a working set of Nehe's examples ready to compile on PSP with the PSPDev SDK and PSPGL. That would certainly jump-start development for many. I'm guessing already several people will probably have done some of the samples for PSP...

I would also just go to the shop and try to get it replaced. 1 september 2005 is less than a year ago. Just say something went wrong when you upgraded your firmware to 2.7 or something. You can already play this game on the PSP through emulators. Civ was released on a number of platforms that now have emulators - even on SNES. Well, first of all you don't have to turn the radio on while browsing, and second of all the source is publicly available.

If you can't discover where, you're probably not smart enough for working on it anyway. :p
