I believe a tool recently came out that does in fact run in kernel mode and allow one to dump memory. KDumper. It has source included. It should be available here on ps2dev, seeing as they are the ones who released it.

It is a better use of energy. None of you have the skill to extract the 1.5 firmware and decompile it, so you are just wasting your time imho till someone who is skilled does hack it. I don't care how much money they have; if they are given a good reason to do so, I see no reason they won't give us ...

Maybe 1.0 firmware is not hacking or whatever; but it is certainly psp general. It is not off topic.

It seems to me that it is ridiculous to be held back by a software restriction which wasn't in place originally. Why waste our effort hacking the psp the psp SHOULD let us run our own code as is. There is no good reason why any of us should pay $250 for something that won't let us run our own code. ...
