I have the Ultimate Doom Collectors Pack and I loaded the wads into the DOOM-PSP\WADS directory. Is there no selector to choose which WAD to use just yet? I know with the previous version I had to rename the WADs to DOOM1.WAD. Is this still needed?

*sigh* Get over the downgrading... Just forget about it. Its not going to happen until there is a hardware means of reflash available to the public and I think when it comes to that the Sesame Street word for the day that most applies would be "NEVER". I have said time and again the 'updat...

Listen, Hared, I tried it. Granted, my means were rather shoddy, but just editing the files doesn't work. Think of a WEP key for instance. You input X-number of characters and it generates a WEP key for that passphrase. Now change one letter, the WEP key changes. Now, imagine if the Updates + AES wo...

Not bad. Maybe I don't have to get a 3rd memory stick just yet ;).

Also, is there any media support or planned media support?

It is better to be skeptical at first and then be let down, than to put full faith into something and be let down. Not to mention, the PSP's abilty to show images makes for all sorts of fake images to be shown as legit software. As I said, I will wait until I see the program, or more definitive proo...

Well now that I have some information on this program it seems that I can put a little more faith into it. Many a time have I seen 'just pictures' without any information.

I will with-hold further opinions until I see the program up for download.

Danj, if it is true, why does he need 5 Arkanoid game icons on the new desktop? Not to mention, wouldn't the new OS not allow that to be so? I do not really know about Linux, but I know Windows wouldn't allow it and DOS wouldn't allow it. It is obviously a picture that he made and copied and pasted ...

Seems like BS if you ask me. Why would there need to be a 'POST' screen before it goes into the OS? Obviously its just a joke, since the POST screen comes on because of the BIOS chipset that is installed on the computer mother-board. I find it highly unlikely that a PSP OS would need this screen. No...

Well there is alot available for 1.50... Just look around on the forums, now with the Kxploit hack, everything that works on 1.0 PSP will most assuredly work on a 1.50 system.

Well, I haven't had any problems with software yet since I got a 1.50 PSP.

Hmm. I don't think so. When I used the update program to try and 'downgrade' it knew that the system version was higher than the source. This is after the update program had started. Chances are, you will just get the error, "The PSP must be plugged into an AC Power source to Continue."(pa...

They only possible way to get the PSP to read CDs and DVDs would be to: -Modify the PSP to read UMD/CD/DVDs and incorporate the probably needed firmware additions to process CDs and DVDs. -USB CD/DVD-ROM to use in the PSP. But with that, there would also require a host chip built into the CD/DVD-ROM...

They actually stopped unsigned code from running in the 1.50 update from 1.0. The new update stops the PSP from running a false PBP file (ie DATA.PSP renamed to EBOOT.PBP) since the homebrew running method of choice for 1.50 has a PBP file in each of the two folders. One starts the boot initiative a...

Actually, it doesn't matter. When the PSP is given an EBOOT file, it will show the white PSP screen, read memstick and then give an error message. So no, it really is not progress. The PSP boot animation is given to any EBOOT.PBP when its boot is initiated. After that, whether it crashes or gives an...

My suggestion with MPEG was to allow users who didn't really want to spend the time converting to mpeg4 format just to watch a few minutes of video on the PSP.

It would be more of a creature comfort, but may be invaluable. I know I'd use it. Can't speak for anyone else though.
