Confirmed (at least somewhat): When I ran Uncharted it required me to update to firmware 1.9.d-range wrote:Xbox 360 games carry firmware updates, so I assume PS3 games will as well.

I'm about to install linux on my PS3 and I was wondering if there was any reason that I shouldn't be going with FC8 rather than FC7. If there is no hits against FC8, I would go with that since it has better integration of Pulse Audio, and having used both on my normal PCs, I've found FC8 to be subst...

Having bought my PS3 used at (apparently) exactly the wrong time, I am wondering if it is possible to run the 2.01 update that I have sitting on my laptop harddrive, or if 2.1 is my only option.
