This is a demo of Nanodesktop FLite Voice Synthetizer.
http://rapidshare.com/files/56457300/EBOOT.PBP.html
The system will be available in Nanodesktop 0.4, the next version
of nd. There are already some troubles, but the proof of concept
is interesting.
ndFLite uses VFPU to increase the speed of voice synthesis. It uses
also Envelope Interface, a new API integrated in Nanodesktop 0.4
that ensures sound reproduction without glitches and MP3
reprodution with low use of CPU (Media Engine based). |

Well I'm impressed! :)
DAX 3.03 OE
First time I've seen the rest of the program too, and it's very nice.
I hope that in the end you are aiming to read text files.
Great work.
FYO It crashed instead of exiting, but I'm not complaining.

| Gave it a shot on DAX 3.40 and am pleased to say that it works. Only issues I see are the already mentioned needing 2 clicks after first go, and it seems to make my psp's little speakers bottom out or rattle on certain words. Other than that, kudos to you! |

Hi,
Thanks again.
I remember ordering a pizza over the phone with Amiga say.
If you tell the operator you're handicapped, and need a computer to speak,
noone has the guts to question you in case they were wrong.
Hard to do without a real keyboard though.
Real mature I know, but I was only 17. |

Very nice EXCEPT:
-> No quit/exit .
-> The OSK that requires a lot of effort for usage. [The mouse based entry is very bad/ineffective on the PSP] |

-> click with cursor on red-x at top of the window
-> also click on top coloured region of the window, press O and move the cursor... the window moves like a serious windows interface...

Yes may be pegasus2000 is looking forward to starting any co-operation for implementing IR keyboard input... Anybody? |

I mean, we could simply use the L/R/U/Down buttons to navigate in the OSK. will be a LOT faster. |

You can.
If you use L/R/U/D key with the CIRCLE key, you can resize the
window that is under the mouse pointer.
If you point the title bar and use L/R/U/D key with cross key pressed,
you can drag and drop the window.
The exit is managed by SystemHalter, as you can see in other
demos (see YouTube). In FLite homebrew there is a small bug
and SystemHalter doesn't work but it is a small trouble and I'll
solve it in few minutes. |

| I actually like the keyboard, but analogue control of it would be nice too. |
