Low efficiency JPEG viewer in firmware version 1.0?

Post by konfig »

Is the current firmware of very low efficiency or -
Is it true that memory available for the PSP application is considerable limited(much less than the physical memory - 32MB)?

When I used the built in viewer to see big pictures, I found it somewhat annoying. When sliding the image(use the analog pad), it got blurred and usually took more than 2 seconds(from the moment you stop sliding) to restore to normal status.

PSP has 32MByte memorys. If JPEG decoding is time consuming, why not store the decoded pixel data in memory to avoid the annoying waiting? I also heard when copying save data(less than 1MB) to another ms, you had to repeatedly plug and pull the two ms several times.

If not low efficiency, could this indicate something?
