Someone try this on the wipeout browser

Post by etx »

Loading images from the flash. No biggie, I'm just curious if the browser can access the flash device. Goto http://etherealdesign.com/psp2.html with the wipeout browser.

Heh, I'm from Detroit. We have a love/hate relationship with our friends to the north. ;)

Looks like 1. The browser cannot read the flash device or 2. I screwed up the syntax in the html.

edit:
Ack! Looks like nem posted about this 3 days ago and I missed it.

Ive tried that too.. and like they say.. bmps wont view..

im not sure if this exists but (im still lookin around)

can you have a webpage pull the bitmap and convert it to a jpg, then tell the PSP to display it..

I spent a few hrs searching around.. cuz Im guessing one of those BMPs are gunna be the (white) PSP splash screen, but again I have no clue..

anythoughts?

If the browser supports upload ( I don't think it does ) you could submit it to a php script, and have the php return the proper headers and the jpeg data converted with GDlib.

I just wanted to see if the browser could get to the files on the flash becuase mabye then we could grab the 1.5 firmware files. Guess not!
