How about telling us what's in version 1.0, for those of us that have no idea what you're talking about ;-)

I'd like to have in no particular order :D
- default selection [0] with timeout (run auto after X sec)
- particles :D (I like particules as useless they are)
- manual reset handler (like pushing all pad buttons eset the current app if possible and go back to the bootadvance)

all for now...

Great new :)

- default selection [0] with timeout (run auto after X sec) <- absolutely
- A way to change the wallpaper because I haven't been able to make a file of the actual format, jpg please :p
- No screen saver by default or at least let it be configurable with a config file.
- In this same config file : theme support : police, size, color...
- Set screen position like in many games today
- Use the full screen (maybe a problem with PAL/NTSC)
- Display time and date (prety useless)

And keep this very light and clean interface, it is good to have a very light manager to boot the PS2 :)

PS2 BootAdvance use a GSI file as background. you can use this to create a GSI file:

my ideas for boot advance

Post by kazuya »

Hi Lionx .

I’m happy that’s you take again your project boot advance.
I think about boot advance can evolution very well.
I have more ideas for this projet this is :
- a navigator for the hdd, mass, mc, cdrom with the possibility of copying the files of perefirique towards other like ps2os
- I don’t know if it‘s possible but I saw they are one programs which emulated the CD-Rom with an Elf file, an option in boot advances would be very practical.
- add a ftp server in background.
- the hour and the date with a change of color has each month at the graphic level as on psp
It is already god job for you and if your need for assistance so that I test the software or another lets me know it.
I have other ideas but i say you later when the project is more advanced

Thank you

no. rom0: is a area inside the ps2bios where files are stored.

to access a file from cdrom the string would be:
"cdrom:\FILES\RUN.ELF;1"
