I am no coder, but from what you wrote above, isn't it possible to downsize the game (i.e. gfx etc.) any further to make Q3A run on the old PSP, too? I mean of course, it'd look not that nice, but it "should" run.

Or is this 36 MB RAM the least?

I've put up a new version that adds a new option to the sdl section called keyhint. When set to true, the first button press will display a hint about what key you will get with the second button press. If the key you want isn't there you can cancel by pressing cross. It currently flickers a bit, b...

MY thought - and I think it's the only right one :) - is that IF crayz wants to make one he'll pretty shurely leave wraggster a message. But we should not push him to do this ... we should leave him doing his thing ... and we just keep bugging him every time we have a problem with his emulator ;) lm...

Re: 10mb of memory

I have a problem with certain games: Games like Archon Ultra and Prince of Persia do not seem to respond to any input, or either do partially not respond :( The keys are mapped correctly, but the game does not react. In Prince of Persia you have to either use to joystick or press ctrl-k to switch t...

Re: 10mb of memory

How do you set dosbox to use more memory is it in the config file? ive set that to 8 before but whenever I load up ABUSE it only finds about 4 and has to make another 4 in virtual ram? U can set the amount of RAm used by DosBox in the "dosbox.conf" file, namely under "memsize=" ...

no 0.72 is the newest but crazyc hasn't updated yet becaus its only a small update. paco: get rid of the link, it is illegal to distribute windows 3.x murdock: 10 megs is a lot considering the complexity of a x86 pc and the complexity of the dosbox recompiling core. That was pretty much what I was ...

Oh, and another thing: U set the Memory for DosBox to 5. Is there no more mem available on the PSP? The current hard limit is 10MB. I use 8 most of the time. Is there any possibility to optimize it further, so it is possible to play games which need more MHz, like 66 MHz There's room for improvemen...

okay ... as I said I am not into programming at all. hmm, then I bet u must have done sth terribly wrong ... because I ran pretty well known games (e.g. C&C2: Red Alert) on it with only a 2 GHz machine ... DosBox is a pretty good tool, if it's configurated well. This is in deed not as easy as one might think. I myself just got it runnning by crawl...

DOSBOX 4 PSP ... impossible?!

Hi! As most of you might have seen there once was a beta version of DOSBOX for the PSP but this project was dropped as far as I know ... unfortunately. Now, I can't code a single line ... We've had some basics in school, but just some VERY basic progs like a calculator in a Dos Window :( So since I ...

Hi! JUst wanted to ask what prevents u crazyC from creating a more compatible and more fluidly running version? I mean this beta from '05 seems to work pretty nice, but I actually can't run ANY game needs 33 mhz ... so this DosBox is pretty useless. I mean of course it needs alot of power to emulate...
