The first thing you need is the ps2dev toolchain
i am coding using a modified nem library the use visual studio and let you test you program on the pc before compiling it for the psp
and no its no the elf interpreter or you can use notepad to code.

does the program runs or it hangs when you click one key in specific

this maybe stupid but i think that the E on the EBOOT.psp means encrypted.
that why in the umd there are the BOOT.bin and the EBOOT.bin
that maybe for the psp that if it cannot read the encrypted one read the unencrypted one dont know why.

use the hyper creator and click or file extensions inside the wad files appear png files and at3 files
